Register OnlineThe 4th annual Dean Family Triathlon is a social event for kids ages 3-11 years old held at Tetherow Resort in Bend, Oregon. Younger kids will be accompanied by their parent on course. The event order is swim, bike, then run.

Join us for the 4th Annual Dean Family Triathlon, a fun and social event designed for kids ages 3-11 at the beautiful Tetherow Resort in Bend, Oregon! This is a non-competitive, supportive environment where young athletes can experience the thrill of a triathlon with the encouragement of family, friends, and volunteers.
*Floaties & Parent Assistance Permitted!*
*Each loop contains a short, steep hill where volunteers will be available to assist if needed.*

We would love your help in making this event a success! Volunteers are needed to assist with the course, support young athletes, and cheer them on.
Yes! Your athlete can participate in the longer course even if they aren’t 7. We encourage athletes to challenge themselves based on their ability and comfort level. Let us know if you have any questions!
Athletes are welcome to wear floaties or a vest, and there will be volunteers in the pool to assist as needed.
The events follow this order: first swim, then bike, and finally run.
Most kids start in a swimsuit and then put on a dry shirt, socks, and shoes after the swim.
A swimsuit, goggles, towel, running shoes, bike, helmet, shirt, and a change of clothes.
Hutch’s Bicycles will be onsite to handle minor fixes like brake adjustments, tire inflation, and handlebar tweaks.
